CONSEQUENCES OF CHEATING:

Acts of cheating occurring in the classroom are subject to penalties established by the classroom teacher. Incidents may also be referred to the Counseling Office. Sanctions may include but are not limited to:

1.      Reduced or failing grade.

2.      Notification of parents.

3.      Suspension from school.

4.      Parent conference.

6.      Referral to the Dean’s Office for repetitive or flagrant acts.

7.      Refusal of the teacher to write letters of recommendation.

USE THESE STRATEGIES  INSTEAD OF CHEATING:

1.   When you are falling behind in a class, ask for help from your teacher, your counselor, after school tutors, department chair, school administrator, and your parents or family.

2.   Ask successful students to share their study habit methods, rather than copying their work.

3.   Ask your teacher to organize study groups before important quizzes, tests, and exams.

4.   Accept the fact that learning often requires serious, time consuming, challenging and sometimes very tedious work.
